Former Principal Engineer
Zone 7 Water Agency
Zone 7 has employed Dave Buscheck for the construction management of multiple emergency repair projects that resulted from the 2017 winter storms. Having a construction manager who has the relevant experience and subject matter expertise and who we could trust to have our best interests in mind has been invaluable. Zone 7 staff have been able to continue with their many other responsibilities knowing that the construction projects are in good hands under Dave and his team. Not only has Dave effectively managed the construction, but his services have facilitated a smooth and efficient process.”

Since 2021 we worked with Dave on the Arroyo Mocho Stanley Reach Stabilization Project in Livermore and Bolsa Road Fish Passage Improvements Project in Gilroy, California. From the initial planning phase to completion of the projects, Dave and his team demonstrated professionalism, transparency, and commitment to safety which align with our core values at Teichert.
Throughout the lifecycle of both projects, communication was consistent and clear between both of our teams and the owners. We worked together to provide practical solutions to unforeseen issues and maintained a steady focus on quality, safety and production.
With regard to the Bolsa project, our foreman onsite was impressed with Dave’s project engineer. To quote Eddie, “He was the most responsive resident engineer I have ever worked with.” It was evident that Dave and his team take great pride in their work and have a true dedication demonstrating teamwork and problem-solving solutions for the owner as well as the contractor.
Assistant Project Manager
Teichert Construction
(CSLB #8 – oldest operating contractor in California)
With more than three decades of experience in civil and geotechnical engineering, construction management, and forensic analysis, Dave Buscheck, P.E., brings a rare hybrid perspective to public works and complex civil infrastructure projects. As a licensed civil engineer, general engineering contractor, and certified special inspector, his work is grounded in practical execution and technical rigor. The following testimonials reflect long-standing partnerships built on trust, clarity, and measurable results.
I’ve been litigating construction defect and landslide cases for more than thirty years, and have worked with Dave Buscheck for at least twenty of those years. Dave’s experience as a general engineering contractor sets him apart from civil and geotechnical engineers who lack the “hands-on” field experience that Dave has. Dave’s able to provide practical, pragmatic expertise that gets to the heart of every problem – he identifies the problem, determines what the obstacles are, and devises solutions to the problem as well or better than any civil or geotechnical engineer I’ve ever worked with. I appreciate his ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and simply. I’ve also found Dave to be extremely responsive and proactive – whenever I’ve called him, he’s been able to quickly, efficiently, and effectively provide a meaningful and substantive response. I’ve worked with Dave Buscheck on problems large and small, and I recommend him without hesitation or reservation
